ADA, Okla. -- The most wonderful time of the year is getting even better as a holiday tradition -- and Santa Claus himself -- will come to the McSwain Theatre 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16 with the Jae L. and Crossover show holiday special.

Performers from around Oklahoma and Texas will join Jae L. and the Crossover band on the historic downtown stage to offer classic holiday tunes, including:

“Blue Christmas,” “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “Christmas in Dixie,” “Oh Holy Night,” “Do You Hear what I Hear” and “Winter Wonderland,” among others.

Performers from Ada will be making a big showing with three vocalists, April Davis, Grace Derring and Chandler Elliott.

Ethan Stedman, of Ardmore, will offer his rendition of Christmas songs from Brooks and Dunn, Alabama and Tim McGraw.

Wiley Winters and Missy Rude, both of Pauls Valley, will also join the lineup. Winters won top male vocalist during the 2013 and 2016 McSwain Theatre Grand Awards show competitions. The two will sing a Christmas back-and-forth duet of “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen,” in addition to their solo Christmas favorites.

All the way from Runaway Bay, Texas, Cathy Lake will be bringing along her take of holiday tunes from The Carpenters, Patty Lovelace and Anne Murray.

“Jae L.’s Christmas Kids” have been a staple of the holiday special for years, a tradition maintained this year with their performances of “Jingle Bells,” “Silent Night” and “Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer.”

The McSwain Theatre, 130 W. Main Street, has been a part of the Ada downtown entertainment scene since 1920.
