ADA, Okla. - Jae L. Stilwell and Crossover, along with six special musical guests, are set to rock the house at the historic McSwain Theatre in Ada, Okla.
The fun will begin at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 17 and tickets are still available for purchase.
Jae L. and Crossover, the McSwain house band, will be joined by vocalists Laurie Speed and Chris Whisenant, both of Ada; Macy McKown, Norman; Jayne and Emily Sconyers, McCloud; and Lori North, Seminole, Okla.
Ms. Speed will be making her first appearance at the McSwain.
"We have a great show lined up for you this weekend. We plan to offer something for the entire family," said Stilwell, who has been a mainstay at the McSwain for almost two decades.
The Jae L. Stilwell and Crossover shows encourage a lot of audience participation and interaction.
"Please feel free to visit with us and suggest a song you would like to hear on the show," said Stilwell.
Stilwell, an Ada native, will be joined Saturday by talented Crossover band members Jody Teeter, Debbie Allen, Ronnie Magar, Wayne Morton, Greg Griffin, Gary Bryan, Mike Price and Tara Scott.
The members of Crossover have decades of combined experience performing at numerous venues and with artists who run the gamut of the musical spectrum.
Crossover covers a vast collection of songs from various eras and offers something for all ages.
Stilwell and her cousin Debbie Allen have made numerous appearances on television, radio and the live stage.
Band leader Jody Teeter, of Lindsay, plays bass guitar. He was a part of the original McSwain Musical Theatre band.
Tara Scott, of Duncan, began performing at the McSwain Theater in 2009 and joined the band in 2010.
On lead guitar, Ronnie Magar, Ada, has played with artists such as Hoyt Axton, Michael Martin Murphy, Pake McEntire and Blake Shelton. He was also a member of the Sundowners Band.
Wayne Morton, Tishomingo, a steel guitar player, has entertained audiences for more than 30 years. He is an original member of the McSwain Musical Theatre.
Keyboard player Mike Price, Edmond, spent many years playing piano in the Oklahoma Opry and other venues. He joined Jae L and Crossover in 2009.
Greg Griffin, of Stratford, has been playing guitar since childhood. He has performed with the Jeff Sibble Band and the McSwain Theatre Band.
Drummer Gary Bryan, of Stratford, was a member of the Sundowners Band, for nearly 20 years. Bryan has been a member of the McSwingers and was part of the house band for the Rodeo Opry in Oklahoma City.
The evening promises to feature a wide variety of country and classic hits, along with entertaining numbers performed by talented local artists.
Tickets, on sale now, are $15 for adults, senior citizens' $13 and children 12 and under are $10.
