Big Daddy Weave, one of Christian music's most successful groups, will unwrap its "Christ Is Come" Christmas tour at the McSwain Theatre at 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 17.

For more than a decade, Big Daddy Weave has been producing some of Christian music's most compelling hits such as include "One and Only," "In Christ," and "Every Time I Breathe."

Nominated in 2002 for New Artist of the Year, Big Daddy Weave earned a 2010 Dove Award for Christmas Album of the Year and has been honored with numerous other awards.

Mike Weaver, the group's lead singer, said the Christmas tour brings an excitement and feeling that is different than playing at other times of the year.

Big Daddy Weave formed in 2002 when the band members were students at the University of Mobile. Since then, Big Daddy Weave has released three No. 1 singles and becoming a top draw at concerts across the country.

The Christmas Tour features gifted singer/songwriter Dara Maclean performing with the Big Daddy Weave quintet: Mike Weaver (songwriter/lead vocals/guitar), Jay Weaver (bass/vocals), Joe Shirk (saxophone/keyboards), Jeremy Redmon (guitars/vocals), and Jeff Jones (drums).
