About the McSwain Theatre
For 100 years, the McSwain Theatre has offered a compelling variety of entertainment to Ada residents and visitors alike. The McSwain Theatre is a great place to visit, reminisce and find fellowship, according to singer, performer and lifetime Ada resident Jae L. Stilwell. She works at the McSwain both behind the scenes and on the stage.
Originally built in 1920, this theater has seen several famous movie stars and musicians take the stage over its lifespan.
In 2002, the Chickasaw Nation purchased the McSwain Theatre and began to upgrade and restore much of its original 1920s look. Currently, visitors can enjoy live music performances including country, rock, gospel and oldies as well as comedy shows and weekly movie nights on McSwain’s big screen.
